Yandex Mail — including Yandex 360 mailboxes on your own domain — connects to OrbitVibe over SMTP/IMAP with an app password. Two short steps on Yandex's side, then a one-minute connect.
Step 1 — Allow IMAP and create an app password
In Yandex Mail, open Settings → Email clients and enable access From the imap.yandex.com server via IMAP.
App passwords require two-factor authentication — turn it on in Yandex ID → Security if it isn't.
Still under Security, open App passwords, create one of type Mail and copy it. Your normal account password will not work over SMTP/IMAP.
Step 2 — Connect in OrbitVibe
Settings → Email Accounts → Connect account → Connect SMTP / IMAP.
Enter your address and pick Yandex Mail as the provider — the servers fill themselves:
SMTP — smtp.yandex.com · 587 · STARTTLS
IMAP — imap.yandex.com · 993 · SSL/TLS
Password: the app password from step 1.
Verify & connect. OrbitVibe signs in to both servers and confirms a test email round-trips through your inbox.
Troubleshooting
Authentication failed → you used the normal password, 2FA isn't on, or the app password type isn't "Mail".
IMAP connection refused → the "Email clients" IMAP toggle (step 1) is still off.
On a custom domain (Yandex 360), make sure the domain's SPF/DKIM records are set in the Yandex 360 admin panel — OrbitVibe's domain badge on the account card shows what's missing.
